It is a wonderful method for children to learn about the four phases of a butterfly’s existence โ the egg, the caterpillar, the chrysalis, and the mature butterfly โ through this Montessori-inspired butterfly life cycle activity.
All you need are a few simple items, such as the printable dice I created, scissors, and glue to complete this project.
It also provides an excellent chance to discuss with young children the phases of the butterfly’s life cycle in the order that they occur.
Instructions
To begin, print out the printable dice template on heavy cardstock and cut it out using scissors.
There are four photographs depicting the phases of the butterfly life cycle โ the egg, the caterpillar, the chrysalis, and the mature butterfly โ on this page.
After that, cut out the dice and glue them together to form a cube.
